The loading times for me wasn't much of a problem since I almost always play only PS3 exclusives.....and they have minimal loading I don't know why that is. Infamous loads only once throughout a playthrough till you quit the game, pretty impressive.
The one game I had a problem with loading was Dragon Age Origins it was incredibly awful in terms of loading times.
ME 2 didn't bother me that much, I didn't really travel in the normandy much because it felt boring. I had to once for the loyalty missions though.
