There's too much stuff anounced exclusively to the PS3 (on the jRPG side at least). For the Xbox 360, there isn't much going on... i wonder if it stays like this for the rest of this gen (my bet is, it wont) But as far as my concern go, Xbox 360's still winning. Even being "almost" even or not (c'mon, it's not! Xbox still has the first Mass Effect, Fable and Lost Odyssey). And that makes the Xbox 360 the king of RPGs. :p
I would prefer to stick with the topic now. Can we open a new thread and move this conversation to there? |
Last Post about this! Mass Effect, Fable and Lost Odyssey are great but from a library point of view, and review wise, the 2 consoles are fairly even, My favorite RPG this gen is Valkryia Chronicles and its a PS3 exclusive, this is more a matter of taste really rather than any undisputed superiority of a certain library. Because both system enjoy some excellent RPG and its not a landslide for either side in term of both volume and quality, I don't think you can nominate a particular console as the RPG king like the PS2 was.
Ok fine to have taste for 1 console's offering but overall its more like the toss of a coin.
Anyways, on topic, I hope they choose to eventually release ToV PS3 version, its a shame that the West won't be getting the upgraded version of ToV... and we STILL no word on Tale of Grace F for Europe yet. Namco's failure to actually leverage this series is rather pathetic, with multiple system, lack of support in regions, limited available retail disk, its like they were asking for the series to fail.
So yea, I'm burnt, and won't be trusting Namco's word anytime soon. Word is cheap, get the games on my shelves first.
