Bleh. Bloody English.

The 'British' Monarchy. Scots are British too, even the angry ones who deny it.

But you must concede, that the monarcy is by-and-large a very English thing.

One reckons that the Royal Family has no effect on one's life whatsoever, and would rather the money be spent on better-deserved projects.

Besides, Burns' Scots > Queen's English.

It's a British thing, Scotland has had it's share of Kings and Queens as well and we wouldn't have a British Monarchy if it wasn't for King James VI (James I) of Scotland.

Like banks you mean? One's money didn't goto deserved projects, it went to the Banks... oddly enough, 2 Scottish Banks at that (HBOS and Royal Bank of Scotland). Maybe it could be argued the money could be better spent but you could argue that about nearly anything. We only give 67pence each to the Royal Family. I give more to lesser deserved projects via taxation then that.

It may be, the British Isles has many great dialegs... except those in Chatham. No one should speak like them. Bloody Chavs.

Hmm, pie.
