"True gamer" sounds pompous and elitist.
But if I was asked by someone who has had no/very little experience with video games what three consoles have the best variety of different genres, (so he could get a better idea on what he likes and dislikes) I'd probably say the SNES, the PS2, and the DS. (No specific order)
