It's best that everybody has to go through the same protocols, otherwise somebody who looks innocuous will slip through the net. I fully expect that the intelligence apparatus will pick out more likely nationalities to focus on, but security like this should be universally applied.

Also, I haven't been to the US since the security changes, but am I right in saying that the girl wouldn't have been touched at all if she'd gone through the scanner?

Yeah, this is fair I guess. She should've jsut gone through the scanner. Are there health risks regarding that?
