Sony and Geohot reach a settlement

I just want to know how this is goning to stop other people from hacking the PS3 and whats stopping Geohot form going anonymous(and no I'm not talking about joining the group anonymous, I'm talking about hacking the PS3 but staying anonymous about his involvement)
