I remember the first time I fought a dragon in Vagrant Story - well, second if you don't include the intro, I guess. I was using a weapon that had no advantages against it, that did so little damage that by the time the thing was dead my weapon had leveled up against dragons several times...
And that song is an official remix, included on the OST in the Enhanced Edition. Here is a song from the game itself:
