Expect my reply tomorrow... for now, I'm off to bed.

I win!...for now...

"win"? You're taking it way too seriously.

-I am not part of Nintendo, so no idea. However, clearly not something that is as gimmicky and different in effect between people.

-I am not talking market dominant, I'm talking dominant in gameplay use. Is pop out effect as useful as an alternative control method, map, or hud? No.

-I wasn't expecting the same thing w/better graphics and multiplayer interfaces. Not a complete overhaul however.

-Sure, it'll set itself apart... but is it as revolutionary or useful in games? Not really. If it were perfect in all people and hence made necessary, then it would be.

I know tone is hard to capture in online posts so I won't comment on the 'taking it way too seriously' thing.

The point is, people cannot expect something revolutionary every gen and it is not required. Why would anyone want to move on to new control methods every gen? That's moving too fast, there's still alot to be done with touch screens. Not to mention, like I said before the cheap tech isn't there.

Nintendo is going Revolution -> Evolution -> Revolution -> Evolution

As can be seen by their past consoles:

NES -> SNES -> N64 -> GC -> Wii -> 'Wii 2'

GameBoy -> GBA -> DS -> 3DS

They go from a revolutionary console to a more refined evolutionary one. And the handhelds  all seem to have some versions in between that seem to be experiments, like GB Colour, GBA  SP, the DS versions.

It seems for example, the SP might have been a test for the DS with the way it can open and close.
