The thing is it was less then a month before they did a complete 180. Geohot didn't make any progress or anything in that time period.

Would call lying, but wouldn't be pleased also... even so 2 wrongs don't make it right.

And i'm not sure but how long after GeoHotz bragg Sony said they would keep support? Maybe at the time they tough what GH accomplished wasn't harmfull but them after seeing better they saw the potential threat and backtracked.
