Mine broke a couple weeks ago and I did the gilksy fix. Now it works. I'm so cooool!
Cost me 30$ for a heat gun, some arctic silver, and a torx screwdriver.
PS: If you decide to do the gilksy, give it 2-3 extra seconds on the heating portion. So, instead of 15 seconds, do 17-18
