What colour text looks best on the screen as in digital text or actualy text that you're printing onto paper and then recording with a camera?
Just cut away from the actor and show another actors reactions or something. Add in a sound effect and the audience will do the rest. You don't have to show it. Exhibit A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPFJupeaCuA&feature=related Watch from 1:20. No need to show the act.
Just ask your local chinese restaurants for permission and shoot it during the day when no-ones eats there. Most places will let you do it for free or for a cheap price. Don't make a set unless you can do it well, otherwide it'll look horrible.
