Atleast to me, Its more like Devil May Cry than Ninja Gaiden. In Ninja Gaiden, there's more weight to your attacks, so once you commit to an attack, there is no cancelling it out. Bayonetta is more about fact paced action that requires you to attack and dodge right as the enemy attacks you. Also Ninja Gaiden is very heavy on blocking while Bayonetta is more about dodging. Once again, more like Devil May Cry.
