Also, thought I'd let you know, those transfer rates are nothing! In 2004, Caltech and CERN transferred 859 Gigabits of data in <17 minutes, average rate of 6.63 gigabits per second...that was in 2004.
In 2008, France has since announced that they transferred data at a rate of 16.4 Terabits per second.
