Even more amazing is how you choose to misconstrue what we're really saying: That smart phones don't automatically mean the imminent doom of handhelds; hardly an exclamation that they don't matter. I don't think the 3DS or NGP will destroy the market for smart phone games either. Will iOS/Android have any effect on dedicated handhelds? Sure. But that's a far cry from booting them out of the market completely.
Same way the Wii's "blue ocean" strategy didn't render the X360 or PS3 obsolete, either.
