Resistance and Ratchet & Clank developer has said that it won't be developing games for the Sony NGP, instead it will continue to focus on consoles.

Speaking at an Insomniac community day California Insomniac's senior community manager James Stevenson said the studio "totally focused on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360".

Insomniac Games is currently working on Resistance 3, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. In May of last year the studio signed a deal withEA Partners to create a franchise for both PS3 and Xbox 360.

It hasn't completely abandoned the NGP though, Stevenson went on to say the studio would offer its support, however games for the NGP are "probably not something we would develop in-house".

Insomniac's chief creative officer Brian Hastings has warned developers, saying that the core gaming audience "isn't really expanding" and today only triple-A console games are profitable.
