You do your farming on Grand Pulse or in Eden?  I started in Grand Pulse but was extremely unlucky getting drops, then made the mistake of doing all the hunts and upgraded some of the turtles.  Ended up being faster farming the on Tortoise in Eden.

Doing "everything" in FF13 was great and all, but did it feel a little to easy to you?  Previous games were a hell of alot harder to finish everything.  I was hoping for more of a challenge, not just a time sink.  Long Gui was one hard bastard tho, Ill give them that.

i did as you did, start in grand pulse and then go to eden.  i farmed turtles for a good 5-8 hours and only got like 3 or 4 items.  eden was a much better to farm gil imo.  and yes, overall the game was very easy.  the only time i died was fighting long gui, and even he wasnt that bad.
