It's just my personal preference. Guys scare me about 99% of the time. I grew up in an abusive household, so that really didn't raise my opinion about guys at all. Plus, I've never been able to have a conversation that lasts longer than 5 minutes with a guy because I can't stand it when they start making jokes about sex or female anatomy. I haven't had a male friend since I was 10.

So, at this point, I've pretty much given up on high school-aged guys as far as friends go. Maybe it'll be different once I'm in college. I'm pretty inept when it comes to striking up a convo with a dude, so maybe not even then!
