Piracy hasn't killed the PSP, DS, PS2, PS1, Wii, 360, etc... and now all of a sudden the PS3 is hacked and everything is going fucking apeshit.

Taht doesnt mean that piracy is ok nor does it mean that Sony should not fight it with all their might, they have all the right too.

you can try to justify piracy all you want but its still stealing. And Sony should and has every right to try to foight anything that couls lead to piracy, whcih includes protecting the ps3 from hackers.

Alright, alright.

Let's remove .avi support, it is the most used file type for movie torrents.

Let's remove media server because even if we don't have .MKV support, we could still stream it from PCs that do have support.

Let's remove .mp3 support because well, .mp3 are heavily pirated.

Let's remove game sharing, because you know what, me letting you and 3-4 others download my stuff is just as bad as me making a copy of my stuff and letting you download it.

The list can go on, but the fact is that my point isn't about saying that piracy doesn't have a lot of negatives. I am arguing that just because something can be used for piracy isn't necessarily a reason to get rid of it or not support it all together because if so then we wouldn't have many of the features we enjoy on our consoles.

Irrelevant, the PS3 you buy in stores today has everything it needs to function as a PS3 and you cant pirate games on as it is, the only thing taht could possiby enable that is hackers.

Anything that hakers do WILL IN SOME WAY LEAD TO PIRACY, and is also UNNECESARY, the PS3 DOES NOT NEED ANYTHING THE HAKERS have to offer, absolutely none of it, its fine as it out of the store.

Since the PS3 needs nothing atht hakers are offwering THE ONLY THING taht concerns and should concern Sony in relation to the hakers is the potential for piracy, therefore Sony should do everything in its power to crush them utterly.

You want hombre then go buy a PC or an Xbox (microsoft doesnt care).

1) You should relax.

Also I absolutely agree with you that hackers bring us nothing, just look at the history of how PSP got majority of the features people enjoy, including Web Browsing, proper movie file support, internet radio, etc...

2) People quickly label me as a piracy supporter because I support homebrew. Completely ignoring the fact that one =/= the other, no matter how hard you guys try to argue.

3) Also, just so you know, the PC probably doesn't care too much because it is actually growing.

Holy shit, imagine that!

1) PS3 needs none of tha, movie file support?, internet radio?, web browser?, have you ever heard of a computer?. People wanting web browsers is not worth the PS3's security and the potential for piracy taht comes from taht, which is what happened with the PSP, massive piracy, and guess what, id bet Sony would rather have no piracy even if it means none of that stuff taht you can get a computer for (your precious internet radio and web browser).

2) wherever there is homebrew piracy will follow and will be much greater (just like with PSP), it doesnt matter who you support, if your side wins (homebrew) then piracy also wins (just like on the PSP), therefore as far as im concerned your on the pirates side (if your side wins the pirates win).

3) You haker guys should get one of those PC for your internet radio and leave the PS3 out of it.
