I've demoed the handheld at Grand Central Station in NYC multiple times now and tried out several games (street fighter, nintendogs/cats, pilotwings, steel driver, madden, and face raiders).
The Graphics are not that great. They just aren't. It's not a priority, but crappy graphics seems to be even more noticeable when they are magnified by the 3d effect. I want curvy smooth images in 3d, not jagged sharp images in 3d.
The 3d effect is very small. Some games seem to have a better 3d than others I have noticed which makes me wonder what the developers are doing different. Some games, like nintendogs or face raiders make use of the 3d to enhance the gameplay. A game like street fighter or madden didn't need this 3d effect at all so i say wtf to that.
The 3d effect is tough to maintain when you need to move around in a game like Face Raiders, which although fun will require readjustment constantly.
Overall not impressed, certainly not for 250$. I need to know if the 3ds E-Shop releases (of old games in particular) will be available on the DSi, because if it is then I am going to get a ~100$ DSi XL as my next handheld purchase...
