Yes though it has many flaws (first hour being my biggest with it), I enjoyed the basic gameplay. Cut out all the cutscenes/add more areas and playtime and let us find and user our powerups and I would find it to a great game.

How about the Where's Waldo segments, the idea of moving in 3D space with a D-Pad, and the being rooted to the ground while shooting missiles nonsense? 

I'm actually sorry that I'm bashing the game so much because I'm a huge Metroid and Nintendo fan, but I have to tell the truth.

I didnt find the moving in 3Dspace with the D pad a problem. Nor did I  really have many problems with the missles. Though It would be better to actually move while trying to shoot them as your timing in some situations has to be perfect. IM guessing by the wheres Waldo you mean the invisible creatures you have to hit with a missle? If so I found that interesting and no problem with it. I think some tweeking and the controls can be perfect. However, like I said I enjoyed it. Its no Metroid 1,2, or 3 but I didnt want another FPA.
