My parents could have cared less what games I played. All I heard every now and then was "you shouldn't be playing games like that," but they never took the games. They wouldn't let me watch the Simpson's or Beavis and Butthead though. No curfew and never grounded, just got whipped if I was being an idiot. They also paid for my college. I don't think I appreciated my parents enough. I turned out pretty well too.
