Installing to the HDD doesn't decrease screen tearing. He just didn't notice it and that's possible even when its there since the % is like 1 so its not that major.


Agreed, the harddrive install would only improve texture pop in not screen tear.  The only thing that might affect screen tear is your connection method (HDMI/Component/VGA) and the resolution you output.

I am playing on a 250GB slim hooked up by HDMI and installed on the HDD. Screen tear could be there but I don't notice it but in reality I think unless the screen tear is really bad most people don't notice it because they are playing the game. Its easier to notice screen tearing when you're just watching.
