Too many idiotic posts here. Let me help clear things up a bit.

If 3rd party games suck, they will not sell. This is true of every system not just the Wii. In fact I dont know why this discussion is limited to the Wii. The 360 has even more garbage than the Wii at this point. The PS3 lineup is all garbage at this point. Not a single worthwhile game on that entire console as of yet in my opinion. So this is not a Wii topic, it is an industry topic.

Since most companies are capitalistic, they will want to develop for which ever system has the largest install base. Period. They dont care if one has a super processor or not. All they care about is their bottom line. To sell games you need an install base. The Wii will gain the support of bigger companies. This is just how capitalism is.

Games made for the Wii can be more complex than anything made for any other system. It all comes down to the game design and the programmers. To say that developing for the Wii is easier only shows that you are either a subpar programmer or dont know anything about the subject. The only difference you will see is in the graphic quality. Thats it. Everything else should be the same if done right. Frankly, developers should be concerned about gameplay anyway which brings us back to the point that most 3rd party games stink, and in the case of the Wii, the games stink not because of bad graphics, but because the game itself stinks.

Good for Nintendo for seeing past the hype and fuss caused by big mouthed graphic whores. Now companies can either learn from this lesson or keep denying it and continue to see their sales plummet across the board. Granted some companies will not go under because of how much money they have but smaller developers might. Ill bet that companies will learn and adapt. Hopefully this means better games on all consoles but for now I have to cheer for Nintendo just for the principle of it.
