| cloud1161 said: hatmoza gave me the idea for this thread after reading the "games released awhile ago you still play thread." it is important to replay games for several reasons. one of the biggest reasons is that as we age, we view things differently. replaying a game a year or two later, we might get something from the game we couldnt grasp before, especially if that game is very story driven. secondly, replaying games helps remind us why we liked them in the first place. i have asked several of my friends why the like such and such game and they have told me "you know i really cant remember since i havent played it in so long." lastly, this is just my opinion, if you can only sit through a game once, it must not be a very good game. i feel if a game is really good, it should make you want ot play it more than once. i remember when i played suikoden 3 for ps2, i was so amazed by it, i played it twice back to back. these are just a few thoughts on the importance of replaying games. |
I agree! Im glad that I enjoy so many different games enough to replay them for years. Even something as simple as Kirby's Epic Yarn I have over 150hrs on. That is more time than half the JRPG's I have played. (Note JRPG's are my 2nd favorite game type, so not dissing!) It amazes how many times I have watch a friend sell off his games to invest into other games, or a whole new system. Only to later down the line wish he had not sold them and in some cases rebuys them.
