IGN reviewer still claiming that Crysis 2 looks and runs better on 360 so i guess we will have to wait for Digitalfoundry to clear things up

TheMindChannel

In case you're wondering, Crysis 2 online reviews are still under an embargo that should lift anytime soon. Despite being under a NDA (non-disclosure-agreement), a reviewer from IGN (Arthur Gies ) also known as aegies has answered some questions to the NeoGaf community regarding which console version looks the best. The reviewer states that he has both versions of the game sitting on his desk as he speaks.

Question#1 by Gvaz:
No, it clearly has better lighting (Sun Rays/God Rays, shadowing, lighting) and AF. Even if all things are the same, those are implemented features. However the tradeoff is that it's at the "stage 1" HD resolution of 720 and the 360 doesn't have those features and is at 1080. I don't know what the frame rate is like.

Either way, if you're wanting to know which one is the better one technologically wise, that'd be the PS3. If you're wanting one that displays natively at 1080, then that'd be the 360. It's up to you which of these is more important.

REVIEWER: You. Are. Wrong. No matter how many times you keep saying it. The 360 version runs better and has more going on. The texture filtering is the only thing that might be better on PS3. And I say that with retail copies of both sitting on my desk.

Question#2 by Shurs:
I realize he's under NDA, but if he feels he can pop into this thread to tell us 360 version is the best console version, he could at least tell us why.

REVIEWER: From the levels I'm allowed to talk about from last week's preview embargo, the Xbox 360 version maintains its framerate better, has better lighting on characters in particular, and appears to support SSAO in places that it isn't apparent in the PS3 version. This is in addition to the ps3 version being more "stretched." This causes more aliasing, but it also just looks kind of weird at times. It's still a great looking game though.
