Is their record that much better?  We all know how loyal they are to platforms.

 

The only way I see it going to Wii exclusively is if Ninty is footing lots of money, which may be exactly what's happening.  >5 million on DS is a large opportunity cost.  I would see it more likely being 3DS / Wii rather than PS3 / Wii though.

It was co-announced with Iwata himself. He wouldn't have done that if he didn't have a guarantee of fealty from Square Enix, and SE can guarantee that they'll have to localize it themselves if they turn.
