I disagree. I don't think it'll detract from the 1player experience, and they could possibly offer extra missions for co-op.

The sudden events that uncharted is known for (bridge collapses and the like) would be much worse if they had to be built with 2 players in mind.

before U2 released everyone was saying the multiplayer would only serve as a distraction, not be fun, and make the single player experience worse.  then U2 released and everything about it was amazing and polished.

if naughty dawg wants to do co-op, imo it's safe to assume they'll find a way to make it amazing.

Polished? Yes.

Amazing? Nope.
