The demo was a year old build on both systems.

Still have to wonder, if what they say is true, why would they release a demo in that state? Wouldn't you want the demo to represent the game at a better quality than that?

I know I haven't talked to you in a while but to answer that question Gran Toursimo 5. They released that demo time trail thing and it looked awful. God of war 3(http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-godofwariii-demo-vs-retail-blog-entry) that was a huge change from the demo to final. The reason they would release such a old build is because they probably didn't want to take the time to build a new demo it was probably a demo they used for e3 or one of the game shows. Given when the demos came out they were already in crunch time so they didn't have much time to spend on making sure a demo was up to date. It happens all the time. It was supposed to be a 360 demo exclusive as well, but pc and ps3 fans were pissed off and flooded the forums and so they pooped out a pc and ps3 demo.

As far as Killzone 3 goes yes they changed their anti aliasing tech to the god of war one, but I feel it didn't work as well as it did for God of war. There are a lot more jaggies in killzone 3 because of it. Now they also made the game brighter and added more color which makes the textures show up better. They did get rid of the film grain but now you can see really low res textures (flat textures) like crazy. What about the water? They did improve the water from killzone 2 it used to look like jelly but now it has this crappy little splash decal when you shoot the water. It does ripple but you can see the pixels in it. Crysis 2 well its Crytek there really good at water so it’s no surprise that there water looks better. Also there engine is beast they can edit stuff in real time. It’s not the normal way of building and porting. Basically they have a glitch they see it in real time they then go over to the computer and fix the code and bam it shows up in real time and they fix the problem. I thought from the demo on the 360 it already had many elements that looked better than killzone 3. The textures the lighting the draw distance, the motion blur. It just had this realistic look to it. Also the weapon models in killzone 3 didn't look as good to me as they did in killzone 2. Crysis 2's weapon models look fantastic. Over all I know you would just call me biased but I'm not I just call it like I see it. I will point out Crysis 2 flaws as well. Like the demo had shadow problems and hit detection issues and stiff death animations in the mutiplayer. So there is my feelings on the matter.
