So far from videos Crysis looks better to me. As to which verison I don' t know I am trying to figure out which one to get. I have all three, pc, ps3, 360. I know the pc will look better but I am a console gamer at heart so its kinda between the ps3 and 360. So i might not buy it on launch day just to wait and see to find out which verison truly is the best. |
I agree with some of your points. Killzone 3 was pretty from far away but when you get up close to objects you see they aren't as good looking as you thought. For example the lilly pads in the water in the jungle in campaign looked pixelated and were just a texture map on the water and not free floating objects. There were parts in the game where the textures are super low res. Textures on the barrels in mp are especially bad. Also in Blood Gracht when you go up to the vines and plants on the wall they are super pixelated. Overall its still probably the best looking PS3 game. Uncharted 2 might possibly be a bit better. God of War 3 has sections where it looks amazing but Hera's character model is terrible and one of the worst I've seen in years in any game. Also Hephaestus (sp?) has terrible textures as well and the other females are just average character models. The lack of consistency keeps that from being the top in my opinion.
Judging from what I've seen from YouTube Crysis 2 looks better but I'll truly know in 36 hours when I have it in my console. I'm getting the 360 version. I think I'll fire up Uncharted 2 and Crysis 2 at the same time and compare.
Regardless if Crysis 2 is the best or not (which I think it will take the crown for now) I have no doubt Gears of War 3 and Uncharted 3 will be fighting for the top spot.
