Jesus. You have to wonder who exactly this is aimed at. The hardcore aren't going to be using those horrible avatars in Hearts of Iron or Counterstrike. Equally, the casual player isn't going to be launching Farmville or Bejewelled through a GfWL client when they can just open up Facebook.
I play games on both PC and consoles and enjoy them both- they're different but both have strengths that the other platform doesn't. I really wish Microsoft would fuck off trying to homogenise the two into some bland mush that only serves publishers and destroys what makes console and PC gaming unique.
