"Never" I won't quite go for that option but I do think it would be very hard for the PS to over take 360 in the US.
This is the only market where Microsoft will go toe to toe with Sony i.e. Sony drop price MS drops price.
MS knows how important the US is for good sales and the perception of good sales i.e. PS out sell 360 worldwide but really only NPD gets any real attention in mainstream media, even in the UK for example.
