| oldschoolfool said: Obama sad that he's not sending troops. I mean the America miltary is already spread thin as it is. Were already in afghan and still have troops in Iraq. Obama's still trying to work with the U.N. to get this thing resolved. I think America is going to try to help (like we always do) in any way we can, short of sending troops, which I agree with. I mean it's still a work in progress. I find it funny that people always bash and talk down to the united states, but in the same breath, expect us to save the rest of the world. |
I don't think anyone wants the repetition of Afghanistan or Iraq, the usual consequence of Americans direct involvement, but if you make threats you must have the nads to carry it through. As of right now all of Western countries were along the lines of "Oh gadaffi you naughty little boy, don't take that cookie, if you do there will be dire consequence". He took half the cookie "Damn it Gadaffi you watch..". He took the rest of it then there was a meeting in regards as to what to do about Gadaffi taking the cookie, really simple. Instead of sending in jets to reinforce the no fly zone there is another UN meeting in France, I mean wtf, people are dying despite the apparent "no fly" zone and the "ceasefire", which is clearly not a ceasefire and the western nations that represent the democracy stand by and do bugger all, or having meetings. A pointless waste of life if anything. Not saying that US should get involved, but why the smack talk then? :S I don't think the UN are any better.
I have a conspiracy theory, but I'd rather not disclose it.
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
