I actually still have some old strategy guides.
I have 2 out of 3 volumes of so called Playstation Compedium (that's how it looks like), IIRC, I got one of them from Official Playstation Magazine, the other one I got from a friend. These guides contain walkthroughs and tips and tricks for PS1 classics such as Metal Gear Solid, Ridge Racer type 4, Final Fantasy VIII, Tomb Raider 3, etc.
These are the only things that can be called strategy guides that I have.
They're from 1999.
Today we have sites like Gamefaqs for text guides and Youtube for video guides.
If there's a strategy guide avaiable in stores here, then it's probably part of limited edition of some very popular PC game.
