See I don't get that logic, it doesn't matter if the next xbox has more sales if it's been out on the market 3 years longer like it doesn't matter that ps2 has more sales to 360, the only reason ps3 and 360 and directly compared is because it was only a year and ps3 was expected to just blow it out of the water, if Sony waited 3 years after there would be no problem as long as ps3 still picked up all the multiplats they'd have the edge when the other guys were forced to release a new console as long as the sales are strong for ps3 theres no point in releasing ps4

except that PS3 will begin to languish compared to the other two.

the wii is doing that now and still selling well, I don't think the next generation gap is going to be that big tech wise, and ps3 is the most powerful by a significant margin and there is still room from improvement, even after 4 years we are seeing games get better
