Not sure if is possible. PSP have 32mb RAM.
PS3 have 512mb plus there is a OS running behing the game. Would be complex, slow(to transfer 500mb to the HD) and risky(hackers could use this "hole").
I don't really know. But would be VERY cool. Its my favourite feature of PSP.
