Using your military suppremacy to invade a country and push out a man that is still supported by a good part of his country seems like decent? Justice and democracy don't mean you can just invade any country to push out a regime you don't like. The US might as well half the world including China, Russia and Saudi Arabia then. |
Not every country the US disagrees with is commiting acts of genocide. Gaddafi may have the support of some of his people but he is slaughtering the opposition. The US should step in , in cases of genocide. Also the UN today approved the no-fly zone and the world is mobalizing fighters to carry it out.
Also this isn't an invasion, no boots on the ground and I never suggested the US should put boots on the ground (Without the UN approval) but actions should be taken to preserve human life and Gaddafi is killing innocent civilians. So yes I think the US is finally doing what it should have done weeks ago (No-Fly Zone) now hopefully the rebels will have some sort of chance.
Also the protestors in the Rebel Capital and else where face death if Gaddafi defeats the rebel force. Hopefully this no fly zone helps even the playing field a bit for the rebels!
