I agree, first person shooters today are full on invisible walls and cutscenes, not what they used to be.
But he's not attacking shooters as a fan of the genre who is saddened by the decline in quality over the years. He attacking it as someone who knows very little about it and is just nostalgic over his 2D sidescrollers.
Same thing with his PC gaming video. It's like reading an ignorant forum post only presented better and with fancy effects. There is nothing in that video that I haven't heard a million times before.
He seriously thinks a powerful hub that does everything is going to be replaced by a bunch of expensive less-powerful propriatary devices? I almost burst out laughing when he mentioned motion controls being just as good as a mouse & keyboard.
I guess it's that time of the month again. We haven't had an article bashing PC gaming for a few weeks now.
