edit: nvm misread it...not sure where ICC is now, but I think it's a mistake to remove the new countries. They need experience, they could have beaten way more teams if they had experience to give them an idea on how to. And let's not forget Ireland, they have played brilliantly. looking into a bit more, it appears that the ICC HQ is Dubai. And also that the for the past two WC's (from 2001-2008) CEO of ICC was Australian.

Ireland should have already been admitted, in recent history they have proven themselves imo. Great emerging cricketing nation, seems to do really well against bangladesh among others. 

I am not saying eliminate all but like the rugby union world cup there are only certain teams that can win it and Ireland is not one of them... yet. But I say put them in. It is the Canadas and the Netherlands that maybe be put into a second tier comp/world cup. 

Yeah all teams can play bad but honestly if the secondary sides werent in it it would be more entertaining imo. Australian CEO means nothing, Pakistan not being relegated yet says enough about the bias to certain teams. If a South Africa or a New Zealand or a Windies team did that for example they would almost be kicked out on their arse. But as its pakistan its almost forgiven.

again I think you are reaching here. What do you mean by not being relegated? about the match fixing issue? all players who were found guilty were banned...for like 10 years! in other words banned for good in this line of sport. and it's not like only South Asian countries have such scandals right? For example the Warne scandal? He only got banned for 'one' year. and pleaaaaaase don't tell me the excuse he gave saying his mum gave him a pill to handle his weight . Guess who was in charge of the ICC at the time of this happened.

so just saying, the HQ is in a place far away from the main cricket boards and the leadership rotates. Only India in the southern asia has some major pull in Cricket incidents cuz basically they have them money to back them up. But overall, no South Asian bias in their actions, at least not more so than when they handle issues of other countries.
