Just finished The Dragon Reborn a couple days ago, now I'm about 100 pages into the Shadow Rising. Since I've already read this far a couple times, I'm amazed that I'm still picking out some details that could be considered crucial to the storyline.

I cannot believe it took me 3 times reading The Dragon Reborn to have it finally come to me that Ba'alzamon is not the dark one, but instead just stupid Ishamael. I mean, I knew Ishamael was referred to as Ba'alzamon, but I just thought he was trying to make people frightened of him, and that the Dark One was in fact the "true" Ba'alzamon. I guess my name just means I'm a stupid Forsaken.
