If we were to agree that third party sales are poor on the Wii (which we don't necessarily agree on), the fact that third party sales are even worse on the PS3 is a fairly relevant consideration. It would mean that despite (supposedly) poor sales of third party games on the Wii, the PS3 is even worse for third parties, and thus deserves the support even less. The PS3's "meat of the harvest" will be later this year, so until those games release this really isn't a relevant issue right now. The PS3 side of this argument "just wait until comes out" still stands until those games come out. It seems like you're automatically labeled a PS3 fanboy if you even begin to talk slightly against the Wii on vgchartz so it's kind of hard to get my point across without being flamed and then ignored. You didn't directly, but when you brought up the PS3 all of a sudden for your argument when we were clearly just talking about the Wii's 3rd party support it was obvious. P.S. I ONLY own a Wii. I love the Wii, I'd just like better 3rd party support for it. Mainly in the future. |
1) Not necessarily. I'd rather have non-exclusive million sellers than not have those games at all like the Gamecube. It benefits the Wii and really shows its selling power when a game available on all current consoles can still sell over a million on it. Of course that doesn't change the fact that you quickly altered your argument to fit your agenda.
2) Nobody called you a fanboy so you can put the victim card away, there's enough people playing that on a daily basis. Your argument is suspicious regardless of your 'loyalties' because you changed it when faced with evidence. Also, if the PS3 fan can use "wait until X game comes out" then Wii fans can do it too with gauranteed million seller exclusives like The Crystal Bearers coming this year.
