The only problem I forsee with this game is the pitch detection. I believe this software is based of of the Guitar Rising game that was never made-- it was always delayed because of problems recognizing pitch. Gamers will problably have to continually tune their guitars so that they are recognized. A nice touch would be a in-game tuner.
I've been looking more and more at the You Rock Guitar lately to use with Rock Band 3 and possible this Rocksmith game as well. The You Rock might be more fun for a video game because it doesn't have to be tuned and the pitch recognition would be better. I have an acoustic and an electric guitar, but the You Rock still looks like it might work with a video game better.
