I agree with you. Even with Nokia MS won't beat either of those 2...but that doesn't take away the fact WP7 is a great product. 

In a few years when people see someone saying how microsoft is shit cause their phones failed again, hopefully they will remember its not cause the phones were shit but that MS wasn't able to penetrate the market for other reasons. Same thing with zune.  It was a situation where Microsoft had something as good if not better than competition but was not able/willing to put the resources behind it and make it a success.

Dude.. it's not great. You can't pseudo multi-task, you can't run an app in the background, once the screen is locked the app closes, office software but no copy/paste... wat.

Third party applications are awful and their perfomance is just bad. Network info/battery level being hidden unless you call them. A shot at copying the iOS in 2011 and with all the technology available MS makes WMP7 a bad OS in my book.

I see that you read the "why WP7 sucks" article but most likely haven't used it. What you are saying is like saying "Xbox 360 sucks cause it doesn't have bluray, built in wifi, Cell processor and uncharted 2". Sure, but you're completely missing the things it has going for it.

I've used a Motorolla milestone (droid in usa) and Nokia e71 before using a WP7 and for things that a smartphone should do (browsing, multimedia, games, email, calendar appointments...etc) WP7 completely blows away those 2 phones when it comes to user experience.  The speed its able to deliver the important info to a user is unmatched by any phone. If you want to hack your phone, browse through millions of useless apps, and run a supercomputer in your pocket, WP7 lags behind the competition. However there are users that will take better battery life over 10 app multitasking, and a great speedy interface which gets you in and out. WP7 is a fun tool that enhances your daily routine, not a toy/gadget that people need to play with 24/7 to maximize their potential... Its like blackberry/iphone hybrid now that I think about it.

Also some of the things you listed too are reaching pretty far out there...network, battery info not visible unless you tap the very top of the screen? Yeah, sure thats a huge deal...sell your phones everyone.

Other things like copy and paste and multitasking are coming by the end of the year so eventually your list of things will be reduced to nothing.


I always have 2 cell phones that's how much I am obsessed about cell phones and you just assume that I've not used a cell phone before just because I disagree with you...

nokia Symbian cell phones have been sucking for years now and ofc wm7 is better than e72 and n97. Business phones that can't even browse the internet yeah very cool.

And I don't care if it's going to be better in bla bla months, now wm7 sucks for what it is and that's my opinion . You can disagree but you can't just assume that I've not used it -.-. A lot like ps3 fanboys when the ps3 first was released it sucked and I could read "IT'S GOING TO BE BETTER". Yeah sure it's cool now but it sucked ass at first.
