you dont need to use a friend just invite all the people on your team to a squad one is bound to join, thats how i got it, first match i tried as well!

 

but if you dont want to do it that way add me as a friend and you can always ask me to join your game as well if you still need it. 

how the heck you invite ppls in your squad that are not friends ?

I haven't been able to figure that out...

Think when in game bring up score board press moreinfo on player where the mute option is and i think theres invite there, it sends a bloody psn message rather than an ingame one for some reason, took me a while to find but it is still there, think you have to wait till your ingame, cant be done in lobby like on killzone 2
