Cause of Piracy Study (and a lil bit of effect)

The fact that priating is so easy for so many the only solution is to make it harder. If it becomes too hard for people to bother and rather pay then yea it will slow priacy. But that is very costly and hard to do. 

The thing is, DRM doesn't prevent piracy. In the best case, it can prevent day-zero piracy but other than that, the only effect DRM has is deter people like me from buying the game at all. I won't support DRM, almost no matter how good the game.

Also, the more restrictive the DRM, the more advantage the pirated version has once it's cracked. So yeah, more restrictive DRM is more likely even more lost sales.

True i am not an supporter of DRM but whats the choice: No DRM = slightly more priacy then DRM = slightly less. 

But not all DRM are bad, Steam is one big DRM.
