Wow!  Most, if not all, of these people in the link weren't even alive during Pearl Harbor so why are they even trying to scream out remember it.  The past is the past and we as humans need to rise above it.

Yeah but they saw the movie...and it will not get better when the movie about nanjing Release...  The Jp government has always been unsensitive about the past....English, French,American, Dutch, Chinese, women used as sexslaves?  That is not true never happened...  nanjing is a lie from the West, the most yearly visit to the Japanese soldiers shrine and calling them hero's.... No wonder some hate Japan for it....The JP government hardly even said sorry for what they did and still denies a lot....So yeah not unusual that people think this is deserved.....How sad this may be it counts for all the countries....

Well Japan is trying to pretend alot of their actions in WWII never happened. They aren't alone look at Russia, China and Germany. All of them are trying to cover up their pasts. In Germany they can't even have the Nazi symbol anywhere and talking about WWII can get you in trouble. China totally pretends its history never happened, Tianimen Square never happened according to them. Russia acts like a big democracy and pretends they didn't kill tons of Christian's , army diserters and anyone who spoke up against the regime.

Seriously what's Japan supposed to do. Go about the next thousand years or so saying "Yah we are horrible" and beat themselves up about it? Yeah I know that America is still beating itself up about how the Natives were treated. But is it helpful to just keep apologizing every year and saying sorry again and again like a five year old?

Japan has formely apologized for many of its actions in WWII. Yes the Japanese army did terrible things but those soldiers were still fighting for Japan. They defended Japan and not all of them were horrible people they were just doing their jobs (Fighting) they deserve dignity and respect. If the Japanese Prime Minister never visited the memorials what would that tell you about respect for their troops.

Now as everyone else said the two A bombs more then paid Japan back for Pearl Harbour. As for the other stuff, alot of the nations in Europe and Asia have done horrible things yet you don't see them going on and on about how horrible they are. They try to forget it and learn from their mistakes.

Also what about forgiveness I mean its been 70 years since WWII and people are still holding a grudge, how long does this grudge have to last? Infact America's two biggest enemies (Germany/Japan) are now two of the US's biggest allies. People have no right to continue hating people do to the actions of their ancestor's.

I mean I trace my family back to the germanic tribes fighting the Roman's. Should I hate all descendants of Rome? If not how long ago should I hate? What about when the German's invaded my great grandma's country in WWI or how the Russian's treated my dad's side of the family in Ukraine before they could flee to Canada. How long is to long to hold a grudge?

Heck almost every person on earth if not every one if traced back far enough was wronged directly by another group of people. Hatred doesn't solve anything and it really doesn't help anyone either. The past is over and the Japanese and German's have done massive things to benefit the Allies countries. We are friends now and must forgive the atrocities commited 70 years ago!

The difference:  How many times did you see someone from the German goverment go to Auswitch and thanks the German soldiers who died their for their great work?  Or how many times did you hear the German government denies what happend with the 6 million jews?  After 70 years Japan still act like it is all blown out of proportion what happened, so how do you want people stop their grudge? Especially with prime ministers like Taro Aso who basically have a WWII mentality.
