Well, I think ShadowRun allowed 360 players to play with PC players but it was a rather useless feature as majority of players were 360 anyway, I've played that game quite alot I don't think I've ever encountered anyone playing PC, or I might have, but very few. I don't think that this ability to play with other versions shizz will have that large of an impact, I've booted up the Orange Box recently and there were still plenty a games going on TF2, that game has been around for a fair share of it's years now, overall I think that the online component will likely be the same, games will be easy to find the only major change will be that updates will likely roll out a day or so later. It's interesting how they've changed the stance from anti-PS3.

Sorry my quote thingy majingy went haywire so I couldn't quote properly >_>

Yes but Shadowrun was a first party game and the only one of its ilk. The main issue here is that there is NO WAY MS would ever allow steam to be on the 360 much less provide free DLC or constant updates without certificate (which is what steam will likely provide).

And anyways, not only is Portal 2 a co-op only game but we're talking about a Vavle release, there will be plenty of people playing this game on the PC/MAC.

More importantly, I rarelty if ever random co-op games, the nature of random co-op simply doesn't appeal to me, I'm certain some people feel the same way. Co-op is simply better with friends, and if a friend of mine doesn't have a PS3 or a gaming PC, itr wouldn't matter now, we can still co-op, so I feel this is a very nice feature giving the nature of the game.
