You're distorting his point. He's saying he wants a fair justice system which you're incorrectly interpreting as he wants dangerous criminals walking the streets.

Yes, and in obtaining this "fair justice system", he wants dangerous criminals to get off, because the authorities made mistakes (which in no way changes the fact that those dangerous criminals, like this one, are guilty).
