I'm not sure if Sony Investors agree with you. You can say this at a user level, PS3 has a good to great library, PSP library's quality is at least questionable, but at a corporate/economics level, SCE has been a complete disaster this generation.


Alot of that had to do with Ken Kutaragi.  Of course it was going to be expensive to "save" the PS3.

At the beginning of the gen, 3rd parties were about to abandon the platform altogether.  Hirai had a big job on his shoulders of rebuilding relationships with devs and putting the PS3 on the map again.
