| oniyide said: ^^^ so if Killzone3 numbers sucked, how do you explain the crappy 360 numbers, you think the little bit of people who bought it on PS3 would have bought it on 360??? and even if they did it still would have sold worst than KZ3. I have a question, even if it was exclusive where would these magic numbers come from??? You think people are not buying the game because its not an "exclusive"?? has anyone ever not bought a game because it was multiplatform??? the advertisment was 360 heavy anyway, just like a good chunk of multi |
Where did I ever say KZ3 numbers sucked? I love that game and already have a max level Marksman Class, Max level Engineer class, and half way through max level Medic. KZ3 did solid numbers and I was NEVER the person who turned this in a Bulletstorm vs KZ3 thread, the posters did. No where in the OP did I even mention Killzone, mostly because I think that has very little to do with overall Bulletstorm numbers. KZ3 obviously had an affect on the PS3 versions numbers but that has nothing to do with the 360 version which still only did a modest 300k. Not to mention there's still plenty of other shooter fans who obviously didn't pick up either Killzone or Bulletstorm on the PS3. Why is that? At the end of the day some games really are better off being exclusives.
You ask where the "magic numbers" would come from. That should be obvious, it would come from MS massive marketing team which has done a fantastic job of promoting games this generation. Outside of hardcore gaming fans on forums the public knows very little of Bulletstorm other than it "Turns people into violent rapists" accoring to Fox News. With a big exclusive marketing budget behind it the common consumer could have become much more informed about the product.
I swear some people are getting offended and taking a stance against the idea of it being exclusive due to them thinking this is an attack on the PS3. The truth is I could care less about "TEH CONZOLEZ WAR" or whatever people like to argue about and I just simply think from a business and marketing postion the game was better served being exclusive to the 360.
