I have a feeling Bioware would have been better off not mentioning Baldur's Gate at all. It attracts a crowd that wants that type of game and that is not the type of game Bioware is going to make anymore.
They say all the time that they want narrative driven or story driven games. Basically not RPGs in the classic sense. This really screws with peoples expectations.
